This is the closest photographer Thomas Lavalley has come to a church since he first moved to Shreveport. Â
What’s really ironic is… just two days before we did a story on church burglaries and vandalisms… Thomas told me he wanted to find a church to attend on Sundays. Â
I told him I didn’t attend a [...]
That much anticipated and celebrated (by some) pay raise for Shreveport police officers has come and gone.
Mayor Cedric Glover used his VETO pen to strike the plan approved by city council last week. Glover says there just isn’t any money in the budget for such a plan. Councilman Bryan Wooley says there is. He says the raise [...]
It was a busy and tense night in Shreveport for police officers. The very night one officer returns to work after getting shot in the face, a man pulls out a gun and points it at another officer.  The gun turned out to be a BB gun, but that doesn’t make a difference.  It looked like [...]
This is a picture of Thomas putting on his shoes in the car.
I’m not sure, but I think they’re the same pair of shoes he almost used to step on a bug today at the Gym. Â I asked him not to kill it because I had just watched “Men In Black” this weekend. Â I remembered a [...]
Get this… a man was sentenced to jail after being convicted of hacking his wife to death.
Why? She changed her status to “single” on her facebook profile. This just blows me away!!
The couple reportedly seperated four days before the murder.Â
While I’m very very saddened for the woman and her family, I can’t help but wonder… how [...]
The man who shot and nearly killed one of my favorite Shreveport police officers was sentenced to 10-years in federal prison for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Before he was sentenced… the judge told the convict, “You pulled out your pistol and damn near killed a man.”
The picture above is officer John Madjerick, [...]
I gave in to Fletch’s demands and decided to try to get into the movie biz. This is one of my pics courtesy of :

I don’t know about you, but I think I’d be great for the part of a tatted up serial killer.
What do you think?
Tonight, Thomas and I were getting video of a vacant lot on Douglas Street in downtown Shreveport. As I was standing by the car, a woman walked up to me and asked if she could use my phone. I told her I didn’t have one. I know… I lied, but I didn’t want her putting [...]

This right here is one of the main reasons I love my job.
I think police officers rock!Â
If I were to write just how hard they work to solve crimes and keep citizens safe, I’d fill an entire library full of books…. and it still wouldn’t be enough.
I’ve said it a million times (and I’ll probably [...]
Most reporters get into the business to hopefully make a difference. That’s my goal.  Just when I was feeling unappreciated, I got this e-mail from Maggie Zingman. She’s the amazing mother who has spent the last year driving around the country looking for her daughter’s killer. Her story and a link to her website are posted below. I think [...]
