An 85-year old Claiborne Parish man was booked into jail for DWI and the jailer who booked him confessed (according to Homer Police) to stealing the man’s identity.Â
Fontonio Carter opened more than a dozen credit card and bank accounts… and spent more than 70-thousand dollars in less than three months. He even bought a brand new car!!!Â
This blows my mind. [...]
Hey, I just discovered a lot of comments that were sent, but not posted. Bear with me guys and gals, this blogging thing is a whole new experience and I’m learning it as I go.Â
The internet guys (Steve and Brad) are working on a new design for my page. I think it’s pretty cool so keep coming [...]
I was driving across the Red River on I-20 this morning and my tire blew. I’d like to thank the off-duty Shreveport fireman who stopped and helped me.  He was driving the Motorist Assistance Patrol (MAP) van.  I am just one of the nearly 200 people these guys help every week.  This is an awesome FREE service [...]
I was driving home from the gym today and noticed two police officers directing traffic at an intersection where the traffic lights had gone out (probably because of the storm).  I got to thinking.. this has got to be one of the worst parts of the job.  I also started thinking about the state police [...]

My heart and my prayers go out to the victims [...]
I’ve covered several trials in which prosecutors were seeking the death penalty.Whenever a jury finds someone guilty in the criminal phase.. they have to come back and hear statements for the penalty phase. This almost always consists of the convicted killer’s family and friends telling jurors why they should not sentence their loved one to [...]
You know what really burns my butt?
As most of you know, my twin brother is a New York City police officer.
He once told me about a guy he arrested and I’ve never forgotten the story.
The man took a pistol, hit an elderly woman over the head with it and stole her purse. When [...]
I’ve received several e-mails concerning the Bossier City Paramedic who was fired after administrators say he violated protocol. If you’ve seen the news, you know the story. Here’s a quick re-cap: A Shreveport man died last November while in the Bossier City jail. He was booked for public drunkeness, but an autopsy showed he did not [...]
